The Aliens Among Us

  • A new theory says that maybe there could be another from of life out in the universe.
  • If there are extremophiles here on earth, couldn't extremophiles exist in different extreme conditions than those conventional ones.
  • One theory says that the chemical phosphorous could be replaced with arsenic, and scientists are looking for life in arsenic contaminated lakes to prove it.
  • This new life could also maybe feed on mirror molecules to ours, molecules with the chemicals mirrored.
Reflection:
I think that this theory is possible, but that is just because anything is possible in all the universe. I don't quite understand mirror molecules, but that probably doesn't matter. This article directly relates to the process of natural selection. If one type of life was better fit for the environment it would have eventually eliminated the other type. Maybe it was time for the life to move away from the extremophile lifestyle and the other type of life didn't make the transition. I bet that if we search hard enough and explore more with new technology we will find a different kind of life.
